Mercury Electronics is please to announce the release of their New 2009 Full-Line Catalog.

This easy to use catalog now includes a “How to Specify Mercury Products” section describing the various options available for each item and explains the Mercury part numbering format with examples to help make qualifications simple.

The “Crystal Units” section features miniature crystals including the X22 series with a package size measuring 2.5 x 2.0 x 0.6mm and the X32 series that measures 3.2 x 2.5 x 0.7mm.

While the “Clock Oscillators” section includes Oscillators, VCXO’s (Voltage Controlled Crystal Oscillators), TCXO’s (Temperature Compensated Crystal Oscillators), VCTCXO’s (Voltage Controlled Temperature Compensated Crystal Oscillators) & OCXO’s (Oven Controlled Crystal Oscillators).

The oscillator output logics and waveforms include TTL/HCMOS Compatible, LVPECL & LVDS Square Wave. Sine Wave & Clipped Sine Wave are also available.

Datasheets for Mercury’s Low EMI Spread Spectrum Clock Oscillators are prominent in the oscillator section as well. This product provides a reduction in EMI by an average of 12dB to insure FCC EMI testing approvals without the added expense or the loss of valuable board space by adding ferrite beads or shielding or the trouble of ground plaining. This oscillator is a drop-in replacement for standard oscillators so re-spinning the board is not necessary.

TCXO’s and VCTCXO’s are now available in miniature 5.0 x 7.0 x 2.5mm leadless surface mount packages with a TTL/CMOS Square Wave output and 5.0 x 3.2 x 1.5mm packages with a Clipped Sine Wave output saving board-space and providing the output necessary to complete your design.

Square Wave LVPECL outputs are available as a Clock Oscillator from 10.000MHz to 800.000MHz and as a VCXO from 1.000MHz to 200.000MHz.

The final product section is titled “M.C.F. (Monolithic Crystal Filters) where the specifications for both surface mount and through-hole filters are displayed, highlighting the 5.0 x 7.0 x 1.3mm 6 pad package, “Q” series.

In closing, Mercury’s “Green Program” describes Mercury’s RoHS Compliant products, including the solder reflow conditions and the suggested reflow profile using both eutectic and lead free solder for surface mount products.

While “Embossed Tap and Reel Specifications” describe the carrier type dimensions and reel dimensions for all surface mount products.
